Palm introduces a number of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) which run the Palm operating system. There are many
Palm handhelds devices, the first generation of Palm machine is Pilot. Pilot was introduced by Palm in 1996. First two generations of Palm are known as PalmPilots.
Current models of PDA are
Palm handhelds. They are simple and easy to use. They are made using advanced technologies for business users and mobile professionals.
Palm handhelds: It includes a hardware expansion slot and slightly modified software. Palm handhelds are becoming more and more advanced and are also merging with
smartphones. It also has the ability to become hard drives on computer via USB. Current models of handhelds are Z22, Zire 72, Tungsten E2 etc.
Z22: It is one of the first
Palm handhelds that is released under Palm brand and also the first to be released without ''Zire'' moniker. It runs all the basic programs that are used in previous Palm PDAs. It also includes a new program called Addit. This software is used to allow the users to order the software while offline.
Zire 72: This is the second PDA with an integrated digital camera. It is the replacement of an old model. It includes 1.2 megapixel sensor, 32MB, 312MHz Intel PXA270 processor, built-in Bluetooth wireless communication etc.

Tungsten E2: It was introduced on April 2005 which replaces the previous model Tungsten E. It includes 32MB, 200MHz Intel Xscale processor, Bluetooth capability etc.
Treo Smartphones: These are full-featured mobile phones. It is a wireless communication that includes browsing, messaging and email. Current models of Treo Smartphones are Treo 700w, Treo 700wx etc.
Treo 700w: It is a combination PDA/cell phone and was released on September 2005. This is very much usefully to the customers who want to use Microsoft software.
Treo 700wx: It is an updated version of Treo 700w, it is also a combination
PDA/cell phone offered by Sprint. It is officially announced on September 2006.
